Game Profile - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on Nintendo Wii

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword once again places the player in control of Link, a Hylian boy who this time around lives in the floating nation of Skyloft. Link is in love with a local girl called Zelda but one day while flying on their bird mounts, a tornado shows up out of nothing and takes Zelda away from Link. After that Link teams up with Fi, a spirit living within a sword and he descends to the long-forgotten surface to search for Zelda.

The game is structured very similar to previous Zelda games: you travel through an overworld in search of temples to visit and once in you solve a series of puzzles before fighting a boss at the end and receive the next bit of plot. The biggest change is that the overworld is more focused on puzzles this time around with only a handful of action. Also new is the implementation of the Wii Motion Plus which allows full 1:1 controls and new puzzle possibilities.

It only took me 2 years to complete this game! @savvyhearts and I just finished playing through the main story and we both loved it! I can't wait to see a Zelda game for Nintendo Wii U!

Very good game! Took about two months to finish when really playing.  The storyline was really great, not something overdone but really new.  It was a lot of going on quest to start another quest to do another quest kinda deal to drag the game out but the action of the sword with the wii remote is super fun and the side quest follow the suit of that of other zelda games--addicting! I would recommend it to anyone who likes Zelda!

I hate to rain on your parade, but this was really lackluster. No real exploration, same 4 areas (And a hub) throughout the game. Can't wait for Zelda U...

The best thing about this game is the story, and how calm it is.

@FZee, No. I probably dislike it for a different reason than you do, though.

I thought this was like the Black Sheep of Zelda Series, but it is getting so much prize in this site. Are you guys sick or is it the other part of the internet?

The game is amazing and I love the backstory it sets up but your biggest enemy will be the motion controls, which isn't really the games fault but still really annoying when facing off against enemies that require specific strikes.

After completing this title, I am glad to see that Zelda has returned to an adventurous playstyle. Lovely game
