T h e | w o r l d | b e g i n s | w i t h | y o u / / Hello, and welcome to my page!! My name's Destiny and I discovered video games a little later than the average Generation Y kid. I had a Gameboy Color, a Gameboy Advance, and an expansive PC game collection in the '90s, but I received my first stationary gaming console, a PlayStation 2, for Christmas 2005. Kingdom Hearts was my first real obsession, and things just took off from there, with an affinity for Square Enix branching out into a love for video games, in general. In the past, my interest was fairly exclusively in Japanese RPGs and such (minus a few deviations, like Katamari Damacy and Guitar Hero), but my video game library is much more varied now. I'd say I mostly game on PC (primarily via Steam), PS4, and mobile. Unfortunately, I had some pretty bad habits in my childhood and teenage years, as there were nights when I would game from the time I woke up to the time I went to sleep, only stopping to meet my basic needs and do what I needed to get good grades. During the summer, I would often actually stay up until almost noon and sleep until the mid-to-late afternoon, then wake up and start gaming again. I had to stop this before high school, however, being the academic perfectionist that I am. Keeping those hours due to gaming wasn't good for my health and I don't recommend it, but it sure was fun while it lasted haha At this point in my life, though, I'm a "real" adult with a law license, so my main focus is on my work and career now, so I game much more sparingly, but it's still one of my notable hobbies!

I only put games that I already own under my "plan to play," rather than upcoming or prospective games I'd like. I stick to games already in my collection since there are many games that I do not own that I really want to play, and I don't want that section to expand beyond past what I know I'll someday get to. This database is also missing some games that I have, so those will needed to be added as they're brought in. I own both English and Japanese language games, given that I speak and understand both languages--hopefully more Japanese language-only games will be added over time!
