Hey all! Name's Mouse and I used to be an avid gamer and I'm trying to get back into the groove. I'm all for new games and suggestions that I haven't heard of before. I'm a big anime/manga fan as well a big film addict. I'm glad to be starting off in the community and feel free to chat with me about games or anything.

I have a hard time finishing video games nowadays, so I decided to start a let's play channel just in the hopes of me buckling down and finishing some of the games in both my backlog and games that I love to play and want to review XD. Hopefully my comedy is somewhat up to snuff as well XD. Channel: www.youtube.com/channel/UCWviCe1m0HhS-4gwR47hCIg

My favourite game series is Fire Emblem and certainly isn't restricted to such. Video games is an awesome medium to experience both amazing story and damn good gameplay that will keep you addicted for weeks at a time. So if you are down for giving me a recommendation for a game I haven't been privy to, just send me a comment.

Have you ever played Megaman Battle Network or Star Force? Are they worth checking out?

Same haha, although I don't have as many exams in March as in January / February, so I'm getting back to gaming a lot recently. Didn't we also plan on playing some Diablo? :D

Definitely the PC version; I can't imagine playing Diablo on a console. Either 2 or 3, which one would you prefer? (I've been playing D3 a lot last month)

You should try to focus on less games then haha. Alright, I'll get back to you in January about D3!

Are you ready for some Diablo or too busy with other games? (I see you're currently playing 37 titles according to your list, which is insane)

Hahah it's okay :D Thanks a lot!! That's a really good and informative reply! Would you mind telling me more about the Kid Icarus game? You gave a game a great score, it seems! So I'm curious about it! Also, what else can you tell me about the Kirby game? I'll keep the other games you listed in mind! And don't worry about long replies, I actually love them. They show... dedication ^-^

No problem at all! You've no idea how happy it makes me to find fellow ME fans! :) Sorry to bother you, but could you help me out a bit now? heh See, 3DS is my new obsession now, but I've very few games. I kind of checked your list and noticed you have one! So, what games would you recommend me? Again, sorry to bother!

Wow, you seem to really hate Beast Rider :D I bought it a few years ago for cheap and it entertained me for a few hours, but it's still far from a good game.

Sorry for talking more than I should. Mass Effect is very dear to me so I get a little excited. And heh sorry for flooding you with comments. I'm used to separating things by paragraphs, so I forget that when I press enter here, my comments gets posted :X I hope I managed to help you, and that my english was understandable!

Expect ME2 to be a lot different from ME1 too. Imo, its better. Its got better gameplay, better graphics, better story, better characters, its pace is MUCH faster and there IS NO MAKO!! Yay!! (Mako was the annoying vehicle, dont know if you remember it). This is why is put it in my faves. Its not that the other two games are bad, but this one is the one I loved the most. A warning though. Remember what kind of game ME is. It?s 60% walking around, 15% cutscenes, 10% buying and customising guns/ammo, and the little rest is gameplay. Ive made the mistake of recommending this game to people who are more of FPS players, and now they wont play anything I recommend them. So yeah, if you?re not into this type of game, don't play it cause youre bound to hate it:/

If you enjoyed ME1, then I DEFINITELY suggest playing the rest of the trilogy. Don't stop at ME2 because you'll be missing out a great game. Plus, ME2 ends in such a cliffhanger, you?ll probably jump on ME3 right after you finish it anyway ^^ To me, what I call the ?Mass Effect experience" is only FULLY appreciated once you?ve played all three games.

Thanks for the list a lot dude. I'm really excited about Zelda games and One Piece since I'm huge fan of One Piece. I was really disappointed about Pirate Warriors on PS3. Well, I'm not a graphics freak, so I hope it's gonna be awesome experience for me. Thank you again ;) I will try some of them.

September 11, 2014 @ 11:03 am
Not at all, there isn't much story to be had in Diablo 1 anyway. There a FEW characters that also appear in the 2nd game and the village where you start exists in D2 as well, but gameplay-wise the first game is extremely inferior. I'd only check it out if you're interested in how the series got started, otherwise it's not recommended ^^

Diablo 2 is just one of those games I always came back to over the years. There was even a time when I addicted to it for months and I only logged out of battle.net when I had important things to do :D Tons of items, lots of crazy builds to experiment with the skill tree, the horadric cube and the rune words...that all made me re-install it almost every year 😈

Interesting, I've never looked at it that way, but I definitely felt that it was darker than Ocarina of Time. Upon its release I was kind of disappointed with the game: They just re-used all the character models from OoT and gave them new names. The 3 day limit also annoyed me greatly. There was so much I wanted to do but had to go back in time because the task needed to be started on the first day :( And there were only 4 dungeons, the first of which was far too easy. I gave it a 2nd chance one year later and changed my opinion, because using and collecting all those masks was fun and I also enjoyed following the daily routine of all the characters and how they interact. So, ultimately, I think it's a good game, but far from my favorite Zelda.

I see Majora's Mask is one of your favourites. Why is that?

I will keep the hacks in mind. I only have FE5 to finish and I might play FE3 as well. The NES games don't seem like they aged well. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping we see a new Fire Emblem on the Wiiu. How amazing would that be?

are you talking about serenesforest? that's where I got the translation patch. I did take notice of the hacks page, maybe I will try some out after Thracia.

Yeah, it's a great FE, completely different from any of the FE's that came after... for one it's epic on a grand scale. For example you can use all 24 characters on the map all at once, also instead of just one objective to complete you have 3 or 4(maps are huuuuge) also you can pair the units up and make them fall in love(they have children too). The fan translation is also much better compared to Tharcia(what a mess that one is) if you want the translation file you can download it here https://www.dropbox.com/s/vvl2vue65syyx85/fe4.ips just get that file, rename it so the file you just downloaded and the rom file's names are identical(must be in same folder too) Then start the game up and it should be in english, easy. Hope you enjoy it, it's pretty intense, after you finish it you should find an appreciation for Tharcia.

I'm not sure how far into it you are. I'm on chapter 11 myself so i've got a ways to go as well. You shouldn't be relying on jegans too often. Some of the later maps are extremely creative and there are some cool characters. I would highly recommend you stop playing Thracia(5) right now and pick up Genealogy of the Holy War(4). Fire Emblem 4 and 5 are interconnected and FE4's story comes waaay before FE5's. If you continue playing Tharcia you're going to ruin the amazing story of Genealogy of the Holy War.

Ah, Coheed and Cambria. I remember jamming "welcome home" like 10 years ago lol. I noticed you have Thracia rated 6, why do you have it rated so low?

September 08, 2014 @ 8:38 am
Lol, no worries, geek out as much as you want :D I'm more into watching Mecha-Anime. Are there even any new Mech games? Around 2007 or so I thought the genre was pretty much dead.

I liked Thanatos the most, although Daishi was probably more fun. I've only played MechWarrior 3 and 4 back then... it's too long ago. I might reinstall it some time 😈 Btw, have you ever played this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90iCt_0JdSI ? Also released by MicroProse around the same time of MechWarrior 3.

You can also check out my Last.fm(links on my profile) it has all the bands I listen to listed there, it's just a little crazy to list bands I listen to because I listen to over 500 different bands. How about you?

I was actually asking which Fire Emblems you've played lol. Those are 2 of my favorite games too. As for music, well, I listen to a lot of unknown bands but the genres I listen to include: Hardcore Punk, Post Hardcore, Metal, Metalcore, Progressive Metal, Black Metal, Death Metal, Post Punk, Post Rock/Metal, Screamo/Emo, Rap and even some pop. Basically I'll listen to anything other than country and mainstream radio. I also like video game/ anime soundtracks.

I can relate with you there... you mention video games to someone and the first thing they mention is Call of Duty or something, I mean they are decent games but i'm tired of hearing about them since it's the only thing people ever play. Well their loss I say hah, Sacred Stones is very good it's not one of my favorites but all FE games are awesome. I think the one thing I dislike are how many monster units are in that game but the story and amazing characters more than make up for it. Joshua and Marisa are some of the most bad arse swordmasters ever. What are some of the games you have played?

I agree with ya! I feel like it's such an under appreciated series even if Awakening helped bring it back into the spot light. Favorites would have to be Fire Emblem(GBA), Radiant Dawn and I started playing 4 and 5 on my modded Wii. Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War definitely makes the list and I'm about half way through Thracia and enjoying it very much. What about you?

Yeah, the plot of that Sacred Stones was great, it just felt so concise yet well put together. It's kind of shame it never really got a chance to shine in Smash Bros; seeing Ephraim or Eirika playable would have been really interesting (and a lance-wielder would've shook things up). And thank you! Yeah, TWEWY was definitely one of the greats of last gen, it used that touch screen so well and had such an interesting story. And that soundtrack... it was fantastic!

Castlevania 64 had a hard time because it was released after the masterpiece that Symphony of the Night was (regarded by most fans as the best game of the series). I personally liked that they tried a 3D Castlevania, but I admit the game has its flaws. Give Lords of Shadow a try if you want a decent Castlevania with modern graphics. Order of Ecclesia (also for the DS) is probably my favourite from the newer games of the series, although it's excruciatingly hard at times, so be prepared for that ^^

Unfortunately, i do not have any nintendo consoles. I'm not into Mario or Zelda actually. I'll try to run Majoras Mask on my PC someday if you rate it so high. There is a HD collection with Shadow Of The Collosus and Ico on PS3, so I think I gotta get it.

I haven't tried a lot of games yet, so I don't have many favourites. The last one I enjoyed was Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Sooo nice, it really impressed me, i like that kind of games. Adventure, action, romance, very cool. Gonna try the next ones soon. So what about you?

🎮 Hey there! Welcome to MyVideoGameList.com, hope you will have a great time around here. Nice meeting ya ^^

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones Nintendo Gameboy Advance

Fire Emblem is a tactical turn-based RPG that hasn't been replicated in any other series and is quite unique. Now this series has been made from the NES era all the way till now with its newest addition, Fire Emblem: Awakening. The evolution of game play is more noticeable from the switch to NES and SNES to the Gameboy Advance. That means that some are just glossed over while others become more popular due to timing. Sacred Stones suffers from this same problem. Sacred Stones is a stand-alone game in the series and arguably the darkest of them all. The story is centered on the continent of Magvell which is ruled by several monarchies and political systems. The politics enveloping the land is just a small side-story of the entire game with its numerous sub-plots. The story develops in a depressing manner as the themes of death and loss constantly rear...

Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire

Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire Playstation 3

Now when a game is adapted for a large amount of source material, like the Gundam franchise, you expect the game to utilizes much of said source material as possible. This allows for a great story for newcomers to the source material or nostalgia for those who have already seen it. Gundam: Crossfire on the other hand does none of that and tosses you into a story you know almost nothing about with the weakest mobile suits of the bunch. Let's see where this catastrophe went wrong. The story of Gundam Crossfire is supposed to take place in the first series, Mobile Suit Gundam. Now instead of getting you into the great parts like the Battle of A Boa Qu or Odessa, it sets you up in battles that well didn't have much significance to the overall plot. You destroy a Zakutank here and there, but the main story is out...
