Tales of Graces is by far one of the best Tales titles I have played. I simply loved this game. I have to say I've never really been much for multiple playthroughs on very many Tales games, except perhaps Tales of Eternia, Tales of Vesperia, and Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology. But I picked up this game, and just couldn't seem to put it down. The storyline is quite interesting, and you have to love the fact that you start out as an 11-year old boy and watch through all the things he has to overcome as he grows older and the story progresses. The character design is done fabulously, each character appeals to the audience in their own way. The fighting system is what initially turned me off to this game, but once you got into it; and developed your characters skills by leveling/mastering a bunch of titles, the battle system gets to be kind of addictive. The only drawback to this game is the fact that, if you are a completionist; it's kind of easy to miss some things. But, with New Game + the replay value is greatly increased(minus the fact that you don't carry over equipment). While the Grade Shop for this game still leaves something to be desired for, this game is worth at least one playthrough for the storyline alone. The graphics are by far the best so far, and the voice acting is done moderately good. Alternate costumes are another plus, who doesn't want to change Asbel's costume? Too bright if you ask me, who wouldn't want to give him something like Yuri's costume or some Royal Knight uniform? With some interesting mini-games and a mass amount of sidequests and Inn Requests, this game promises a good 80+ hours of gameplay if you take it for everything it offers. With that said, and this horrible attempt at a review while half asleep; I do believe I am going to start my 5th playthrough.Overall Rating: 9
