Super Mario 3D All Stars brings Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy back to the Nintendo Switch.

It's a real pleasure and a blast to be able to play once again these games on the Nintendo Switch, in the absence of a virtual console. You can now have your Isle Delfino in your bus, or listen to Jolly Roger Bay music while in the park.

This collection allows younger audience to finaly discover those classic games while giving back nostalgic experiences to old-time fans. Moreover, it's the first time Sunshine and Galaxy are brought over from their original consoles. In addition, you can also enjoy a nice OST collection for each of the three games.

The shameful part of this collection, however, is that it is a straight quasi-one-to-one port of each of the three games. Widescreen is added to Sunshine but that's mostly all that there is. There is a lot of missed potential on quality of life improvements.

This collection is only available until March 31, 2021. There still remains a lot of mystery around that information ; could it be that an actual virtual console will be back with all of those three games separately ? In that case, this collection is a great limited-time offer. Or will all of the three games absolutely disappear from the Nintendo Switch ? We need to wait for that fateful day to see whether that limited-time availibility was a blesing in disguise or a very bad marketing decision.
