A dancing/exercise game that allows players to move their bodies in time with selected music.

Select a song, and using the arrows (and center panel), step to the beat along with the arrows as they scroll up the screen. The better you dance, the better your chances of advancing to the next stage. But if you mess up too much, you are finished! Gameplay is similar to DDR but with the step arrows in the diagonal position.

Using different arrow combinations before picking the song can add different effects to the gameplay, like speed up, vanish, and mirrored the arrows on screen and more.

NEXT XENESIS is the beginning of new international changes of PIU. Starting from NX 2 and on, thanks to the worldwide success of PIU, all versions now support english, korean, spanish and portuguese. Another new feature is the USB system, this version was the first that added support for Andamiro's proprietary USB flash drives, which save player progress and worldwide ranking. A new metagame life system was introduced that allows players to play four songs instead of three if they have life left at the end of three songs. Getting an A ranking or higher allows the player to maintain their life points, however, anything lower than an A will cost the player life points. If a player does especially poorly their set will be reduced to only two songs. NX2 features a mix of more than 80 songs, including new songs, full songs and remixes.
