Pandemonium… A world where battle and sorcery decide who will achieve supremacy and only the powerful survive. It is a world where the various races gamble their survival in battles that last for days and nights, and where there exists only one form of sovereignty: the ‘Seven Cardinal Lords’. Rayne Lindwurm of the Dragon Clan, student at the Belphegor Academy of Sorcery, and daughter of the venerable House of Lindwurm has dreamed becoming a Cardinal Lord since her youth. In fact, there is very slim opportunity for even the most valiant of contenders to fight for a seat. There can be only seven Cardinal Lords in the world and a Cardinal Lord throne only becomes available when one is vacated by an incumbent. One obstacle above all stands between Rayne and her becoming a Cardinal Lord: Rayne’s elder sister, Celestia. Since birth, never once has Rayne been able to best her sister in combat. Rayne’s dream will forever remain just a dream unless she can defeat her elder sister who is a sorcerer prodigy and rumored to be the number one candidate to become a new Cardinal Lord. Such was the situation that weighed heavily on Rayne’s feelings, when one day a notice arrived announcing the opening of the first ‘Cardinal Lord Contest’ to be held in several hundred years. Excitement leapt into her heart, followed by anxiety, confusion and fear of defeat. Waves of emotion passed over Rayne until finally she made a resolution: power and authority be damned; the blood of the dragons cries for battle The time combat has come.

Rayne must use her Mini-Tiamats, bombs, and the Burn Air Raid homing special attack to fight her way through the tournament and win a seat as a Cardinal Lord. Also featuring a slowdown feature for precise maneuvering through “bullet curtains”, multiple scoring multipliers, localized dialogue scenes, and memorable bosses, you’ll be driven to help Rayne in her journey to power.
