Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns is the first expansion for Guild Wars 2 and is set deep in the jungle, in the Heart of Maguuma, where Pact forces pursue the Elder Dragon Mordremoth.

raids, elite missions for teams of ten players
Mastery system which allows for character progression after level 80
a new profession, Revenant, a heavily armored warrior who also channels the power of the Mists
ability to construct guild halls
Stronghold game mode
world vs world map: Desert Borderlands
