A young girl is walking her pet dog. But, due to her carelessness, an unfortunate accident befalls her beloved pet. When she returns home, dragging an empty leash, her sister runs off to find the dog. The loney girls takes off after her, but what she finds is not the town she remembers from the day. The town has become a nightmare in the dark...

The darkness has made the town unfamiliar, and she appears to be utterly alone...save for the spirits that stalk her. The girl must hide from, outsmart, or outrun the hunting spirits while she searches for clues to find her loved ones.

the darkness brought by the night is a crucial gameplay mechanic as it hides everything worth finding and exploring - including your sister and dog. With the use of her flashlight the young girl can uncover the secrets hidden by the night, and even enter parts of the town only open at night. Your sister is not the only thing hidden by the night, there are strange 'terrors' lurking. On the dark streets, black figures stand still under the roadside street lights, or are they behind you? If you hit them with your light, you might just see their true colors, but do you really want to...?
