Nintendo's Classic NES Series for the Game Boy Advance brings back many memories for old school gamers. CASTLEVANIA is no exception. This classic was one of Konami's first side-scrolling adventure games for the NES, and now it's back on the GBA for CASTLEVANIA fans to enjoy.
The game centers around vampire slayer Simon Belmont. He has ventured into Dracula's castle with the goal of staking the undead count. But before he can accomplish this goal, he must fight through various levels of the castle, defeating bats, mummies, zombies, and a host of other creatures as he jumps and climbs. Along the way, he will pick up some extra items like holy water or axes to help him out.
Nintendo has painstakingly recreated the graphics and sound effects on the Game Boy Advance, and gamers who played the original won't notice any difference. For newer CASTLEVANIA fans, the Classic NES Series offers a chance to take a look at the roots of the series. If you like CASTLEVANIA, classic Nintendo games, or the side-scrolling adventure genre, grab a bottle of holy water and join Simon in his timeless quest to defeat evil.
