The sequel to Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, Mario Kart Arcade GP DX is the latest edition of the arcade lineup of Mario Kart spinoffs. The game contains characters from both Super Mario and Pac-Man, along with newcomer Don-chan from the Taiko no Tatsujin franchise. New gameplay mechanics include 2-player Co-op racing, and Auto-Accel technology, which allows players who cannot reach the acceleration pedal to drive automatically. The game was released in Japan in July of 2013, and came to North America in 2014, where it was added to a line of Dave and Busters arcade/restaurant chains.
