December 31st, 9999: Scrap Metal Rain.

Within a dilapidated shed in the utmost depths of a dark ruin, Mion's eyes fluttered open. She didn't know why she was here, or where "here" even was. Her body trembled with bewildered confusion.

When she finally noticed me, she must have sensed the sincerity of my intentions, and followed after me with relieved steps.

I must get her out of this place.

A savage world lies beyond the walls of this shed. The looming shadows of scrap metal will almost certainly crush Mion.

But I can stop the shadows. I can lead Mion out of here, to the world above.

After all, I have reasons to lead this child...

• Led by light and darkness, the outside world awaits. "htol#NIQ -The Firefly Diary-" is a stage-clearing, action-puzzle game. Help Mion escape the ruins! • A world of light, a world of darkness - Change perspectives to advance. You control Lumen but you also need to enter the Shadow World and control Umbra. Manipulate objects within the Shadow World, and solve the puzzles to escape to the outside world. • Uncover the mystery hiding alongside Mion within the ruins. Crawling shadows lurk throughout the dark ruins, and they are all trying to end Mion's life. Where is this ruin..? What are they...? Perhaps escaping the ruins will reveals its secrets. • The enormous shadow lurks in the ruins. As Mion advances, an enormous shadow bars her path. Help her avoid the looming shadow and use the puzzles to save her from perilous situations. • Memory Fragments. Within the ruins, you can find objects that look like sprouts. If Mion touches it, a fragmented memory will flow into her head, revealing an event that transpired in the past.

Only a single soul remains this deserted ruin. For what purpose does this young girl awake?
