Gundam Vs Gundam Next is the sequel to the original Gundam Vs Gundam arcade game, released in March 18, 2009. As part of the franchise's 30th Anniversary Project, the series features Gundams from all of the animated series and movies as well as several OVAs. The game was later followed up by an updated release on the Playstation Portable called Gundam Vs Gundam Next PLUS which features additional units.

The game features its own Mission Mode in the form of NEXT-PLUS which has the player take unique challenges and conditions as well as reliving the events of iconic events in the shows.
