On the twentieth anniversary of the start of the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" manga, fans can look forward to a variety of Yu-Gi-Oh! content to mark the occasion. The "Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game", -- mostly popular in Japan, North America, and Europe, and enjoyed in nine languages by fans in 75 countries and regions around the world -- will have its annual world championship next month in Florida. In addition, new mobile title "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links" has gathered a great deal of attention, attracting over 600,000 pre-registered users since pre-registration began in March.
"Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters: Saikyo Card Battle!" is designed so that even beginners to the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game" can jump right in and enjoy its duels. Players collect cards and build up their deck as they take on rival duelists (card game players). The game even features legendary duelists from the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters" anime.
The main target audience of "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters: Saikyo Card Battle!" is children in elementary and middle school who have never experienced Yu-Gi-Oh! content before, with the aim of introducing them to card games and how fun they are. By expanding Yu-Gi-Oh!’s audience through activities such as campaigns where by completing the game, players can receive cards from the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game" that appear in-game, the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game," mobile title "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links," and other content will reach ever greater heights.
