Dead Island: Riptide is an action role-playing survival horror video game developed by Techland and published by Deep Silver. The game is a sequel to 2011's Dead Island, with a plot continuation as the five survivors arrive on another island in the Banoi archipelago, which has also been overrun by zombies.

After escaping the island in Dead Island, the survivors arrive at an aircraft carrier as a monsoon carries the zombie infection from the original island on board and the infection spreads once again. Sam B, Logan Carter, Xian Mei, and Purna, all playable protagonists from the first game, destroy the carrier. The team are forced to look for safety and reach the nearby island of Palanoi, finding that the island has also been infected, and the team begin a fight for survival; also joined by new protagonist John Morgan.
