Star Trek Rivals is a digital collectible card game, based on the 2009 reboot of the Star Trek franchise. Each game starts with a 3x3 grid, and two players getting five cards from their card collection. Players alternate in placing a card on the game grid. Each card has four numbers on their sides, which symbolizes the card's strength. If a card is placed next to a weaker card, this card is captured. Captured cards may in turn also capture neighboring cards. The game ends when all 9 slots are occupied, and the winner is the player with most captured cards on the grid. The captured cards are not actually lost, but rather returned to their rightful owners when the game ends.
