The Grand Caiman is the sixth Challenge Tomb DLC for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It adds Zipacna's Craving as a new challenge tomb available right away from the main menu. The tomb can be completed as a score attack, a time attack or in exploration mode. It is a cooperative tomb that can be completed working together with another human player.

The tomb can also be discovered in a more natural way through the single-player story as The Wrathful God side mission. When Lara travels to the Mission in San Juan, Jonah tells her the town is experiencing violent tremors. He and Abigaile believe it is a threat by the local deity The Grand Caiman. In a first section Lara investigates a nearby crypt where Trinity has passed. There are some puzzles and violent encounters with Trinity soldiers. At one of their camps Lara discovers a crab figurine. Abigaile explains it is an artifact stolen from the god Zipacna who now shakes the earth in anger. This leads to a platforming and exploration section in an abandoned village that can only be traversed using the roofs as the ground is already too hot.

This is the start of the challenge tomb and after the initial section there is a large puzzle set inside a cave with a giant statue of The Great Caiman. It involves deadly lava and many sections where fire blocks the way and can only be disabled for a small amount of time. Lara also needs to manipulate several platforms to keep progressing. The goal is to return the crab figurine to the statue's mouth. There is also a large fight involving Trinity soldiers. The mission builds upon the early romance between Jonah and Abigaile as well.

The rewards are Volcano as a new skill that allows Lara to craft incendiary shotgun shells that ignite targets on impact, Whispering Scourge - Pandemic as a new weapon, and a new Leviathan version of the Reptile Hide outfit.
