In the distant future year of 2094, only a few humans are left alive after a deadly attack by aliens known as the Fesendenz. The few survivors have banded together to launch a counterattack.

The player controls a Hyperion space ship. The game is played from a top-down perspective; the player's ship and enemies are 2D sprites, while scenery and bosses are 3D animated FMV footage displayed using laserdisc video. Gameplay is fast and frantic, and the player must contend with both enemies and scenery.
