Smash Hit (2014)

In Smash Hit the player moves through an abstract landscape of crystal and glass, and his goal is to make it as far as possible while avoiding crashing into obstacles. The player moves along a fixed path and cannot change his speed. Tapping the screen launches a ball which can smash delicate glass; this can be used to destroy or move away obstacles, and to activate switches which open doors. There is a limited amount of balls, and crashing into something causes the player to lose 10 of them; the game is over once the balls run out. The supply of ammunition can be replenished by destroying blue crystals to the side of the path, which yield 3 balls. There are also powerups to be found; for instance, an item which, when activated, allows to launch an unlimited number of balls for a limited time.

The game is free, but can be upgraded to a Premium version with an in-app purchase. The paid version allows the player to make use of checkpoints (in the free version, the game must be restarted from the beginning every time), keeps track of exact statistics (such as the average distance, amount of smashed objects, etc.; the free version only keeps track of the distance record), allows four game modes (apart from a "Classic" mode, it contains Zen - for "endless meditation", Training - with reduced difficulty, and Mayhem - with higher difficulty and boss fights), and keeping savegames in an online Cloud.
