Towers is an implementation of the classic "Tower of Hanoi" puzzle for Macintosh systems. The objective is to move the rings from one end of the puzzle to the next by moving them between the pegs placed on the board. You cannot place a larger ring on top of a smaller ring, and the rings must be ordered from biggest to smallest, bottom to top, for you to win. The faster you complete this task, the more bonus points you will earn.
The game lets you use from three to eight rings, and you can also let the computer play the puzzle alone.
This game is not freeware or shareware, but donationware. The author encourages people to donate money to Cystic Fibrosis Research, Inc., in honor of his daughter, Rachel Zöe Silver. The game also contains a lengthy explanation of the disease, and how it affects people suffering from it.
