Sengoku Basara 4: Sumeragi is an expansion of Sengoku Basara 4 and marks the debut of the Sengoku Basara series on the PlayStation 4. It features a new Roulette mode that serves as the game's theme; stages that employ this mode usually feature special soldiers and camps that, when defeated or taken, activate a roulette.

The roulette has various effects that range from transforming the player character into someone (or something) else to having bombs rain down on them from the sky. Tenka Medals can be collected from these stages, which can then be traded in at the shop for rewards such as new techniques, costumes, and weapons. Also new to Sumeragi are 32 new story routes, a new difficulty mode, an increased level cap, and newly-playable characters.
