A PlayStation 3 companion software of Project DIVA Extend titled Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Dreamy Theater Extend was released digitally on the Japanese PlayStation Store on 13 September 2012. Like its predecessors, Dreamy Theater Extend features updated high-definition visual improvements over its respective PlayStation Portable game while featuring the same content and PlayStation Trophies support. It requires the player to connect the PSP (with Project DIVA Extend) to the PS3 via USB in order to access the content in Dreamy Theater Extend. In addition, Dreamy Theater Extend also features Live Concert Mode, which allows players to watch PVs of 11 songs being performed at a virtual reconstruction of the stage of Tokyo Dome City Hall where the Final 39's Giving Day Concert 2012 was held at in real-life. The characters also perform exactly as they did in the concert. The player is able to control the camera to change viewing angles throughout the PV using the analogue sticks and shoulder buttons.
