Qubed

Qubed is a compilation of three Xbox Live Arcade games created by Tetsuya Mizuguchi.

  • Lumines Live!
  • Rez HD
  • E4: Every Extend Extra Extreme

LUMINES LIVE! Lumines Live! is the Xbox Live Arcade version of the popular PSP launch title, Lumines: Puzzle Fusion. The basic idea of the game is to shift and align 2x2 squares of colored tiles into a wide bin. When you create a square or rectangle 2x2 or larger of the same color, the panels will highlight. Any highlighted panels are cleared by a constantly sweeping line that passes from left to right across the game area. Clearing multiple panels in one sweep will earn you bonuses, but it will be game over if you reach the top of the bin and try to place another square on top.

REZ HD Rez is a fast-action shooter that takes you deep into the world’s computer network. The “Project K” Network has recently been upgraded to handle the rapid expansion of the information age and the core, known as “Eden,” holds the most advanced artificial intelligence the world has ever seen. Unfortunately, Eden cannot handle the ability to create her own thoughts and buckles under the pressure in an existential breakdown. She is lost deep inside the system, and you’re the only one that can bring her back online, saving the world from utter chaos.

E4: EVERY EXTEND EXTRA EXTREME An updated edition of Every Extend Extra, Extreme (otherwise known as E4) takes the music based shooter to the next level, providing various forms of play as well as online modes.

As with previous editions, E4 is all about timing the detonation of your ship to the beat of the music. E4 Unlimited will have you playing as long as you possibly can, collecting upgrades to increase your multiplier. Follow the beat closely to keep the explosions going, destroying enemy ships around you like fireworks. E4 Limited turns the table, playing you against the clock to rack up the highest score possible. Unique to E4 is The Revenge, which plays out like a more traditional arcade shooter as your ship fights back.
