The Price of Survival is the fourth Challenge Tomb DLC for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It adds The Sixth Seal as a new challenge tomb available right away from the main menu. The tomb can be completed as a score attack, a time attack or in exploration mode. It cannot be played cooperatively.

The tomb can also be discovered in a more natural way through the single-player story as The Dragon and the Prince side mission. It starts in the Skull Cave where a little boy holds an artifact, a cipher code wheel. It belongs to Amaru and Q'orianka explains it was his most treasured possession. The mission extends the lore by delving into Amaru's history, the relationship with his brother and he became involved with the Trinity organization. By deciphering the wheel Lara eventually ends up in a new location that has several fights as well as a complex puzzle involving water levels. This leads to another clue that provides access to the challenge tomb.

The tomb starts in a jungle environment with platforming and a poisonous gas spread by fungus that Lara can kill instantly. A large focus of the puzzles is finding a way to get rid of the gas to open up new pathways. There is a complex puzzle in a small village involving the gas, cannons, moving platforms and carts. Once completed the mission ends with an epilogue talking to several characters as well as an encounter with Amaru.

The rewards are Raptor's Eye as a new skill that allows Lara to aim at enemies to tag them for persistent tracking, Silent Sting - Scorpion as a new weapon, and a new Apex version of the Hunter's Array outfit.
