Plazma Burst: Forward to the Past is set on Mars, where the two heroes, the Marine and Noir Lime, are seen advancing through the Martian terrain. The heroes were sent back into the past, but ended up in the future, on Mars. These characters were supposed to land on Earth, but instead landed on Mars along with their scattered supplies. Most of the gameplay takes place inside the bases built on the planet.
