Downtown Nekketsu Baseball Monogatari: Baseball de Shoubu da! Kunio-kun is a baseball game featuring Technos Japan's Kunio-kun characters. True to Kunio-kun's combative spirit, Downtown Nekketsu Baseball Monogatari allows players (and the computer) to employ special attacks and other violent techniques in order to win the match.

Similar to the Kunio-kun Dodgeball games, the player has to fight a series of progressively tougher opponents while following an overarching story. The gameplay superficially resembles Super Famista/Super Batter Up and its vertically aligned pitcher/batter, but tends to switch to different camera views of the ball after it is hit and goes from fielder to base. These are similar to the dramatic shots in the Captain Tsubasa games.
