Dexter's Laboratory: Runaway Robot is a short adventure game. Dexter's robot has gone missing and now players must help him find the robot and find and install a new battery pack to get him working again.

The game is viewed from a first person perspective and to find the robot, players will first need to find 4 pairs of special glasses that belong to Dexter:

• Night-Vision Glasses
• X-Ray Glasses
• Heat Sensor Glasses
• Geiger Glasses

Finding the glasses will allow Dexter to locate light switches in dark rooms, find the secret passage to his lab, get out of his lab and locate where the robot was hiding.

The location of the robot as well as which room is dark changes with each playthrough.
