The protagonistis again Valnar, who has now started a family with Alaine. The two of them live inconspicuously with their daughter Jayna, who they created from a human being, and live peacefully with human beings. Asgar was killed in the first part. Nevertheless, his mind cannot find rest, as he is condemned to eternal agonizing existence as a blood spirit (dead vampire). He meets the thief Strife, who helps him to take on physical form again through Vincent Weynard's magic book. In doing so, however, he unintentionally sets completely different things in motion.
