The year is 1944. You're four miles high and deep behind enemy lines on a daylight bombing raid. Surrounded by cannon fire and flak, you defend your bomber against a gauntlet of German fighter planes, antiaircraft fire, and experimental jets. As machine gun fire rips the Flying Fortress, the bomb bay doors open. Looking through the Norden bombsight, you release your 500-pounders on target. Banking slightly, the mighty B-17 rumbles back to the safety of base and the promise of another mission.
