Creeping shadows and hordes of rebellious warriors destroyed the once blossoming kingdom of Ishimo. Only the followers of the ancient codex of the Samurai could, with the help of ancient secrets delivered to them by the monks, restore peace to the country. Fight as one of them in Katsuro!

With static graphical interfaces, this was a game with no action at all. Your aim was to build up your character's statistics by completing various training tasks, missions and expeditions. All of these were completed automatically - your success was determined by your statistics. In battles, you simple watched as a timer counts down, while your Samurai "fought" you enemy.
