The popular PC series SimCity has come to the PlayStation with SimCity 2000. Take an empty plot of land and turn it into a thriving metropolis. Start by establishing power plants and setting up residential, commercial, and industrial zones. Once the town starts to grow, you'll need to provide an infrastructure water pipes, streets, and bridges. When your city gets large enough, you will have to deal with several public policy issues: where and when to build educational resources like schools, libraries, and universities? How can we halt crime? What kind of fire abatement policy is required? How are you going to pay for all of these programs? Real-world mayors and city councils face all of these issues on a daily basis, and now you have an opportunity to propose your solutions to these problems with SimCity 2000.
