While I was on the fence after the absolute garbage-fire that was the Sonic Marathon, I've decided to do another marathon, this time ripping and tearing my way through the DOOM franchise! For the sake of clarification, I'll be playing all of these games on Ultra Violent Mode, as I believe it delivers the most rewarding challenge without being absurdly difficult. DOOM 1, 2, and 3 will be played using a copy of the BFG edition of DOOM 3. As usual, here's the game list:

4. DOOM 3 (Playing)
5. DOOM (2016)

While I'd love to be able to close out this marathon with a playthrough of DOOM Eternal, I don't currently have the means to play that, so we'll just have to finish with DOOM (2016). I may also watch the old DOOM movie in order to get a different perspective on the series, and I'll be sure to make a blog post reviewing the movie if that does happen.

I'm not sure if anyone cares, but I'll be doing a Sonic the Hedgehog marathon over the next few months. I've already completed two games (Sonic the Hedgehog and Dr. Robotniks Mean Bean Machine), and I'll be starting Sonic the Hedgehog 2 soon. If I have fun with this I'll probably do some more marathons such as a Doom marathon and (maybe) a Phoenix Wright marathon. If anyone's interested, the games will be played in this order:
