Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

From the makers of Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and DmC: Devil May Cry, comes a warrior’s brutal journey into myth and madness.

Set in the Viking age, a broken Celtic warrior embarks on a haunting vision quest into Viking Hell to fight for the soul of her dead lover.

Created in collaboration with neuroscientists and people who experience psychosis, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will pull you deep into Senua’s mind.

There is literally nothing bad about this game. The first time I attempted to play this game I ended up quitting after beating the first boss as at the time I was someone who only really played shooters and thus wasn't capable of appreciating a true narrative experience. A year or two later, however, after playing several very long winded story games I found that the game was truly exquisite, to the point where I played the entire game in one 10 hour sitting from start to finish, with the only breaks being going to the bathroom and getting water. The Hack N' Slash gameplay is great and fluid, while remaining simple, which allows it to be a great companion to this games insanely good and interesting story. Outside of the Gameplay/Combat and the Story, the world building, atmosphere, soundtrack, puzzles, and bosses are absolutely top notch. And to top it all off, the ending of this game is truly insane and extraordinary, and has me very excited for the sequel, as well as any other story games that Ninja Theory creates from this point forward. Best Action-Adventure Game Ever.

This game is the best action games i've played until this date. The concept of the game is very different from the typical games of this genre, the battle mechanics are smooth, but the best thing in this game is the audio. A must play.
