Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan has brought a new edge to the Cold War, and in 1984, a one-eyed man with a prosthetic arm appears in the country. Those who know him call him Snake; the legendary mercenary who was once swept from the stage of history and left in a coma by American private intelligence network Cipher. Snake is accompanied by Ocelot, an old friend who saved him from attack when he finally awoke.

Now, Snake's former partner Kazuhira Miller is being held by the Soviet forces in Afghanistan. Snake must undertake a solo mission to rescue Miller and prove to the world that the legendary mercenary is not dead and gone. That first step will lead to a path of vengeance against the very Cipher that slaughtered so many of Snake's men, and to a battle that will embroil the whole world...

What started in Ground Zeroes must finish with "V".

MGS V: The Phantom Suffering

I tried to like this game, but its flaws were too much.

It was the best ps4 game until the year 2016, despite running away from its essence thanks to the incompetent Konami (has been falling for some years).

Good mechanics (though awful cover system), likeable characters, good optimization and graphics, nice music.... but awful story, and saying this of a Metal Gear game is something to worry about. Not to mention the insanely repetitive side ops, and the stupid idea of making you repeat some main story missions on higher difficulties to progress through the main story. Lack of boss fights, lack of "Metal Gear feel", casualized as hell, cut-off content. Anyway, overall is a fine game, you might enjoy it, whether you are Metal Gear fan or not, but the perfect scores it got from many sites is something impossible to understand for me.

terrible ending, but great gameplay and open world

MGS 5: The Phantom Game

Great graphics, great gameplay, great characters but the ending....wtf? I am pretty sure Konami rushed Kojima in the end. They wanted to fire the poor guy and basically rushed something that could be the best game of 2015

Incomplete game. What was completed though is very good, but Kojima was fired before the game was finished (clearly) and you will be left with an extremely sour taste. Very repetitive and starts being dull. Pales in comparison to its predecessors, the weakest story-wise. The game play was fun at first but eventually after having to do the same thing over and over and over you get sick of it. I'd really give this a 5 now, but within the first 30 hours of me playing I legitimately felt this was an 8-9. A good middle is 7. If you want this game, just know this : you will feel incomplete just like it. You know the missing things should be there, but they aren't. Disappointing. Depressing. A Phantom Pain.

Best game of 2015.

THIS is the reason I am buying a PS4. If anyone plans to buy a PS4 at any given time, this is a MUST HAVE game.
