Quite possibly the greatest 3D Metroidvania game, perhaps not even in the future will there be anything substantially comparable. Though to be fair, the overall package still seems a bit inferior to its predecessor by a narrow margin.
A game that changed my idea of what games should be. In my subjective opinion, before us is just a living monument in the game world. Games can and should be equated with art. In Dark Souls, in my opinion, are all verified with surgical precision: every character, every piece of land Lordan, music, etc. Yes, the game has some technical problems, and this not everyone can close my eyes, but even these problems never bothered me at the time. Thank "From Software" for this series, which gave rise to the cult, and now her emulate other projects. In Dark Souls a lot of philosophy, and the attentive player is sure to retransmit it all through himself, knowing that this are not a dummy , and bottomless microworld, which everyone understands and feels depending on their perception of our world and life in General. Such games are very rare in our time, and indeed in the history of the gaming industry. Haters blindly spit and throwing, consoling himself with the ridiculous arguments, but true connoisseurs realize that was trying to convey to us Hidetaka Miyazaki. Remember that the most important thing in world Dark Souls and in our world is not to lose humanity, otherwise you will erase this fine line when you have the right to call and consider yourself a human...
Hands down my favorite game ever. So incredible. Stumbled upon it by accident on youtube one day, and I'm forever grateful for that. Played through it 20+ times over the last 4 years.
