Revenant Saga

Become a Revenant and find the truth beyond revenge in this gothic fantasy RPG with stunning 3D battles!

After being turned into an immortal being known as a 'Revenant' and learning of the existence of a demon within him, Albert sets out on a journey to make the person who did this to him pay with their very life. However, as he runs into others along the way dealing with their own figurative demons, what is the answer he finds...?

Boasting a story that blurs the lines between good and evil, and plenty of content to go around, this is one title not to be missed! This includes a variety of unique subquests, in-battle transformation systems, as well as a weapon forging system allowing players to make entirely unique weapons as they battle in turn-based battles with 3D animation!

a return to form after the disappointing dark souls 2. doesn't quite reach the heights in world design or richness and depth of atmosphere that demon's souls and dark souls 1 did, but deserves credit for creating the most streamlined gameplay experience in the series, and succeeding in trying a new approach in level design. excellent game.

innovation and boldness of vision. the original souls game that pioneered a new style of game design. less deep and expansive as its better-known successor, but more immediate. what a revolutionary game. classic.

this is really just demon's souls 1.5, but it is a more complex, deep and fully realised version of it. unparalleled world building, iconic level design, gritty and challenging combat, fantastic sound design, breathtaking visuals, and unbelievable atmosphere. one of the most important games of the 2010s.

a return to form after the disappointing dark souls 2. doesn't quite reach the heights in world design or richness and depth of atmosphere that demon's souls and dark souls 1 did, but deserves credit for creating the most streamlined and generally satisfying gameplay experience in the series through some much needed accessibility. excellent game.

worse than all other parts of the souls series in even their respective weaker aspects, with severely flawed and uninspired difficulty design, less fluid combat, and less atmospheric tension. disappointing compared to the rest of the series.

unparalleled world building, deep atmosphere, gritty and challenging combat, fantastic sound design, breathtaking visuals. successfully builds on the foundation laid by its revolutionary predecessor to craft something truly special. one of the most important games of all time.

extremely pretty, but somewhat unengaging due to its restrictiveness and lack of stakes. strongest towards the end, where the gameplay mechanics are the most interesting, the handholding is the least condescending, and the aesthetics are arguably the most pleasing (singing mechanic: genius). also, touching ending.
