10: Games with which I identify so strongly that I consider them pieces of my core self. There is little separation between what I and these games stand for.
9: Phenomenal titles that I consider required playing. Nearly all of them have had long-lasting emotional impacts that I keep close to my heart.
8: Games that I believe are good enough to be called my favorites regardless of their flaws. These are generally childhood faves, pioneers or front-runners of their genre, or games of which I have fantastic memories. I have most likely cited each one of these as a "favorite game" at some point in my life.
7: Games that may be flawed, but I still enjoyed immensely.
6: Games that I enjoyed at the price of affecting flaws, most likely ones that I relentlessly made fun of.
4 to 2: I don't know if I can think of much that would get these scores?
Game completion statuses should be taken with a grain of salt. Some games are unbeatable, while others I have beaten with friends. If "completed," assume I have (or once had) full knowledge of the game in question.
Annotations are my favorite quotes or lyrics from the listed games. Roll over the titles to see them at your own risk: they may contain out-of-context spoilers!
