I'm an avid anime fan, but I also dedicate time to video games. I'm openly a retro lover, and I own six consoles; Mega Drive (or Sega Genesis in the Americas), SNES, Nintendo 64, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360 and Nintendo GameCube. First of all, allow me to clarify; when it comes to games, I mostly prefer games that involve... gameplay. I personally hated Telltale's Walking Dead because I'm not into slow, tedious, cinematic point-and-click experiences. Before all else, gameplay is important to me and I couldn't care any less about story or graphics in a game. As for music, I think it's more important than graphics and story due to the potential long term appeal it may have. My favourite kind of games are platformers (2D or 3D, either are great), and my favourite game is Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Nintendo Wii U

Donkey Kong Country is a series that I've enjoyed since picking up the first game for Super Nintendo in 2014. I've only actually played four of the games in the series, though; the first one, Donkey Kong Country 3, DKC Returns for the Wii, and DKC: Tropical Freeze for the Wii U. While the original DKC remains one of my favorite games of all time, Tropical Freeze is the only one I've completed because of the extremely difficult nature of these games. I'm just going to say right now that Tropical Freeze is a very hard game. Much of the difficulty stems from trial and error, memorizing what is ahead and learning to adapt to it. Despite this difficulty, Tropical Freeze is a fantastic game and probably the best Wii U platformer I've played to date, even compared to New Super Mario Bros. U and Super Mario 3D World. The plot...

The Walking Dead: Episode 5 - No Time Left

The Walking Dead: Episode 5 - No Time Left Xbox 360

NOTE: THIS REVIEW COVERS THE WHOLE FIRST SEASON. I HAVE YET TO PLAY SEASON TWO AND IT'S LIKELY THAT I NEVER WILL. The Walking Dead game, developed by Telltale Games throughout 2012, is a prime example of people overpraising a game for all the wrong reasons. After all, the only thing that should matter in a game is the... well, gameplay. Telltale's Walking Dead (henceforth TWD) is a revitalisation of the adventure game genre and is widely considered to be one of the greatest adventure games of all time, the best game of 2012 and even one of the best games of all time. I, however, don't hold it in such a high regard. TWD is a spinoff game of the popular Walking Dead comic series; a series which I adore. Instead of violence and zombie-killing being the focus, TWD focuses more on characterization and story, and I'll admit that the story...
