(PSX version played via the "Powerslave EX" port) When people think of 90s first person shooters, some things that come to mind are fast paced, balls to the walls action, and while that is still somewhat true for the old titles such as the DOOM franchise for its intricately designed combat, Duke Nukem 3D for its, at the time, groundbreaking level design or Quake, for its incredible multiplayer, which is still played even to this day. However, one aspect of all these games that goes underappreciated is the element of exploration, roaming these huge levels, remembering key card specific doors and certain locked areas.
