A long time gamer here, I first started off with the SNES and played most of the popular games we call classics in this modern day and age such as mario kart and chrono trigger. I then delved into other platforms such as Playstation, N64, Gamecube, PC and some handhelds such as the Gameboy. I've never really got into the XBox side of the spectrum, today I almost play exclusively on the PC.

Genres that I really love to play would be: RPG's, FPS and 3rd Person Action eg. Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry etc.

Wish me luck on getting through my backlog.

Okay, I will play the HD remake of "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater" on the PS3. I never played any Hideo Kojima games except MGSV and P.T., so I was always interested in that! Thanks a lot for recommending a game! ;D

Assassin's Creed Syndicate

Assassin's Creed Syndicate PC

Following the storyline arc of unity, you, a faceless hacker continue to synchronize data for another fun assassination adventure through industrial London. As a long-time assassin's creed gamer, I honestly don't have any strong feelings for this game. The reasons for this will be outlined below, now don't get me wrong the gameplay is actually very good except for various key areas that are sorely lacking. Now for the good things about this game: - It seems that the developers have used the core gameplay mechanics of Unity and enhanced them making it less glitchy and buggy and much more streamlined and effective. - The addition of the grappling gauntlet makes traversal through the city of London more expedient as well as open up unique opportunities for assassination. - Carriage related missions adds much needed variety to the various activities in this game - A multitude of skills that you can pick...

Agents of Mayhem

Agents of Mayhem PC

It's like a cross between Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Saint's Row and Grand Theft Auto and this game does not do anything better than any them. Gameplay is most similar to Bioware games matching up specific agent specializations against enemy Shields, Armor and Health. Against a backdrop of an open-world Seoul, against other open-world games it is actually quite small laterally but it makes it up with vertical height of the map. What's great is that each agent is unique with their own personality, skills, abilities, playstyle and customizable skins. There is a great amount of gameplay customization where you can compose your own team of 3 agents each with the ability to customize even further with Gadgets and Legion Tech. The only area of the game that is actually memorable are the boss fights and the last 25% of the game that broke out of its mediocrity and had a personality...

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell PC

Starting with the PC support, the game does not support widescreen resolutions unless you get the widescreen fix from another site. Also the controls on mouse and keyboard are super clumsy and slow which kills the flow of gameplay. In response I've managed to remap my gamepad to keyboard strokes which made things so much better even though in fire fights I have to take my right-hand off the gamepad and move it toward the mouse to aim. It's a compromise I've had to make as the controls are never perfect. Speaking of gameplay, I've finished a run-through of hard mode and have almost lost my sanity. Hard mode is so laughably broken that I'm not even sure whether the Developers didn't even QA it for balance or Developers dropped the ball on fixing glitches and bugs. Here is my usual routine: 1) Let's quicksave to be safe :) 2) AI glitches out...

Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault

Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault PC

The game takes place during WWII involving the pacific front of the war. You are a marine named Tommy Conlin and you are tasked to fulfill objectives on various island and atolls while drinking tropical drinks on a beach. OK... scratch that last part, war is hell and for you my dear fps gamer you will be feeling hell as this game frustrates the hell out of you. Let's jump right into the gameplay since the story isn't all that great. Gameplay is at best a tedious slog and at worst an extremely frustrating experience where you end up dying over and over again due to cheap shots, broken collision and horrendous game design. Some of the WTF moments you'll be having: - Hey, lets sneak up on the enemy, WTF I can't move forward because a small twig is blocking me (collision fail) - Can't aim for sh!t in the jungle because shrub...

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China PC

This game is really similar to Mark of the Ninja except with the Assassin's Creed franchise. The main objective during gameplay is also similar, get to your location or kill an NPC without getting spotted by the guards. As an avid fan of Assassin's Creed I thought that this game could have had way more potential as everything about this game except the art style was unpolished. Combat was clunky, useless and a complete mess. Most of the time Shao is locked in animation while you underestimate the range of the swing, in combat. Useless because by the time you get use to the gameplay (avoiding sight cones) you totally forget about combat controls once you are forced into one. A complete mess because blocking sometimes doesn't register and enemies look all the same, are you really going to remember the fine details of how each enemy reacts to certain move-sets? The difficulty can be...

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon Nintendo DS

Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon is a remake of an earlier game, the first one to ever be released in the series in fact, Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light. The game stars the iconic character Marth as the remake tells the original story of his battle against Medeus the Shadow Dragon. Right off the bat you will notice the updated graphics and gameplay mechanics that modern Fire Emblems already have. The updates extend to everything including the maps, character portraits, weapons, battle animations etc. While the graphics have been vastly improved, I can't help but feel that the character art and the battle animations seem all so very very very bland. The characters have that familiar anime style from modern games but then it looks like someone put the artwork through a gaussian blur. The battle animations are as you expect, smooth and fluid but it just seems so...

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided PC

Introduction ------------------- Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is the highly anticipated (at the time) sequel to the acclaimed Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The game chronologically takes place 2 years after the Panchea incident occured and Jensen was fished out of the sea to recover from his ordeals. - Jensen back in action, with a level up in shinyness and badassery Detroit vs Prague --------------------------- Without spoiling too much, the flow of the game is very similar to the previous game Human Revolution where you are placed in a "hub" city and are flown out to story line missions. The difference this time is that the Hub town is Prague, Czech Republic. Here you can expect all the side missions to be found here, and believe me this place is huge, about 3 times larger than Detroit with convenient subway travel around several corners of the city. The only gripe I have about this new city is that...

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! PC

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel takes place chronologically before the events of Borderlands 2 before Handsome Jack became the CEO of Hyperion. The story is being told from the accounts of Athena after she has been captured by the original vault hunters during the events of "Tales From The Borderlands" episodes. The premise of the story is about Jack's rise to power after Hyperion has been invaded by the Lost Legion of the Dahl corporation. Without spoiling too much, the Vault on the moon is connected to all the events within the game and you the Vault Hunter have been hired to help Jack retake Hyperion and open the vault for some sweet loot. Is it better than Borderlands 2? In my opinion it is not better than Borderlands 2 from a personal standpoint. That being said the game taken as a whole is just as entertaining and fun as its predecessor. New Mechanics: - Low...

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks Nintendo DS

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is a portable game on the DS that takes place around a generation or so after Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass. You've probably already heard this story before as a great evil has been sealed from the land by the Tower of Spirits and its Spirit Tracks. If you haven't already guessed the main mode of transportation is by Train. The game attempts to use unique features that the DS offers but the gimmicks that tie in with the gameplay mechanics will sometimes frustrate the user. Good: I thought the puzzles in dungeons were very creative and very challenging, this is what I have come to expect from a Zelda game. The satisfaction that you get when solving these puzzles is a euphoric experience. Audio and sound were quite good, everything from the sounds of enemies and the train were on accurate and on point. Boss design and...

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II PC

Similar to the previous game in the series Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition, I would give this a neutral rating and only a recommended rating if you can get the game at a discount price. The game takes place after the events of the first game and gets you to reunite with General Kota and Juno. Without spoiling too much, you play as the new and improved clone of StarKiller, twice as powerful and with two times the mayhem with two lightsabres. You are on a quest to reunite with the lovely Juno and exact your vengeance against the Dark Lord himself Darth Vader... again... Compared to the first game, this game does a few things better and a few things much worse. **Good** +For starters the graphics is much improved and the overall gameplay is still tedious but not as tedious. +The force upgrades are simplified and most of the...

Assassin's Creed Unity

Assassin's Creed Unity PC

You play as a French assassin during the French Revolution through an Internet cloud-based animus simulation through a VR headset. Overall I though the game was acceptable despite all the bad press and ubisoft bashers railing against all the bugs and glitches found during the release. Since I didn't buy it at the release, when I look back in hindsight the game was in a deplorable state (just youtube unity glitches) and should have been delayed to fix the issues. Although now in 2017, patches have fixed around 90%-95% of the glitches so you shouldn't encounter any. I for one have found a few on the odd occaision but nothing too major. The story is much shorter than it's predecessors and is lacking in content when compared to much richer games like AC Black Flag. In terms of content, there is not much aside from Helix Data Harvesting, Chest Hunting, Assassination Contracts,...
