I'm Vilka, the Australian admin. Favourite game genres include, action-adventure, and the occasional FPS, also some RPGs. Not a fan of RTS or linear visual novels (ones that don't give you choices). Favourite bands are; Northlane, Bring Me the Horizon, blink182, The Offspring, and a few other angsty sounding ones. My favourite anime/manga are Tokyo Ghoul, Youjo Senki, Tomo-chan Is a Girl!, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and Hellsing Ultimate. By looking at my favs here you can probably tell I like the Assassin's Creed series and Darksiders.

I dropped out of university in my third and final year in 2018, I was doing a Bachelor of Film, Television and Radio. I just wasn't enjoying it as much and decided I didn't want to do it as a career. I am now on my way to becoming an Automotive Mechanic Apprentice.

Song of Saya (Saya no Uta) is a visual novel, meaning there's not much in terms of 'gameplay', just clicking to continue. The story however is amazing, it focuses on Fuminori who has recently recovered from an experimental neurosurgery. Fuminori's perception of the world changes harshly, every he sees is a hellish landscape now. Even his friends appear to him as Lovecraftian horrors, until he meets Saya. An angel-like being who appears as human to Fuminori, from the very start when Saya is introduced you can tell there's something unnatural about her as the genius composers from Zizz Studio make her theme a very unsettling but beautiful piece I couldn't help but be unnerved by it. The game focuses on their relationship (even explicit aspects). Fuminori also cannot stomach his food anymore as his tastebuds are also affect by his 'curse', eventually he finds Saya eating something and joins her....

Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Ubisoft went full RPG with Odyssey, featuring branching dialogue options and romanceable characters. The Modern day story follows Layla Hassan again, this time reliving the memories of Kassandra, a mercenary in 431 BCE Greece. Kassandra has to defeat the Cult of Kosmos (the ancient Templars), who are set on destroying her and her family. Combat is fitted into three different categories; Warrior, Hunter, and Assassin, each with their own skill tree. Warrior focuses on melee combat and dealing as much damage as possible head-on. Hunter is the archery class, dealing damage from a distance. While third class, Assassin, is stealth based - encouraging players to be aware of their surroundings to sneak past enemies or silently take them all down. With the free DLC Lost Tales of Greece and the episodic paid DLC, this game will be supported for a long time to come. I?ve logged over 115hrs in this...
